Role:

We are seeking a BI developer to join our data team and help transform complex datasets into meaningful insights that drive decision-making across the business. In this role, you will create compelling data visualisations, translating raw data into clear, actionable narratives that support both front and back-office operations.

You’ll be working closely with various stakeholders to interrogate and understand their BI requirements and work alongside our data team, who will support you with data modelling and pipeline development. Your work will directly empower teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports.

  • Serve as the the go-to expert for BI tools, best practices, and visualisation standards.

  • Provide guidance, training and support to business teams building their own dashboards.

  • Champion standardisation to ensure consistency, scalability and reusability of BI visualisations.

  • Comfortable translating complex trading and risk concepts into intuitive visualisations for non-technical users.

  • Communicate and Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders of all levels, to resolve data-related technical issues and recommend effective solutions.

  • Strong hands-on experience of Tableau Cloud.

  • Understanding of commodity markets, energy trading, or risk management.

  • Experience supporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Natural curiosity for data analytics, with the ability to work confidently with unstructured datasets.

  • Consultative and collaborative approach to problem solving.

  • Self-sufficient, with the ability to tackle challenges using a logical, analytical mindset.

  • Have experience championing community initiatives (e.g., CoE, CoP) to share knowledge, promote collaboration, and embed best practices.

  • Thrives in a service-owner mindset, taking responsibility for the reliability, performance, and continual improvement of BI tools and reports.
