We are recruiting for a person to take responsibility for our high value customer portfolio within the Credit Control department. You’ll take a lead role in overseeing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and managing overdue balances with a professional, customer-focused, and strategic approach.
Essential functions of the job:
Build effective relationships with brokers, managing agents and Account Managers to resolve any disputes that might arise.
Proactively chase overdue balances via phone and email.
Escalating debt with our solicitors and disconnection agents to minimize risk.
Generate and circulate Aged Debt reports on a weekly basis.
Coordinating with Operations and Sales teams to resolve queries and provide accurate information.
Ensure any queries and payment issues are addressed and fulfilled according to SLAs.
Managing a ledger of high value clients as part of our internal segmentation.
Supporting other functions within the team as required.
Job requirements
Skills and experience required:
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Self-motivated with a detail-oriented approach, committed to continuous learning and professional development.
Intermediate (VLOOKUP & Pivot Table) to advanced Excel and analytical capabilities.
Delivering tailored and relevant insights to stakeholders across the business.
Commercial awareness and understanding of core account management principles.
2 to 3 years experience in a similar role within a Credit Control or Finance team.
Prior energy industry experience is welcome although not essential.
