The Role

We are seeking dynamic, forward-thinking individuals who can help build an offering into the Net Zero transition industry aspects of our business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the commercial solutions team and be directly involved in an array of different commercial projects, helping to build a wide knowledge base in energy supply, the Net Zero transition, wholesale markets and sustainability solutions.


There will be a focus on advancing Brook Green Supply’s analytical and structured offerings in EV Charging, Battery, PPA, GPA, Capacity Market, flexibility services, energy efficiency and Biomethane industries. In the role, you will provide expertise and share knowledge with internal sales teams, external stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring the continued strong growth of the business.


Key responsibilities:

  • Become an internal knowledge centre for the UK’s energy transition, developing expertise in exciting new sectors.

  • Create bespoke commercial solutions to assist with navigating a changing energy landscape.

  • Work constructively and proactively with external clients towards their Net Zero transition and sustainability solutions.

  • Assess commercial risk, opportunities, and structure agreements in energy transition industries.

  • Develop knowledge of wholesale energy markets and pricing.

  • Managing and facilitating complicated, large deals alongside account managers.

  • Analysing energy consumption, generation and storage data to identify trends and potential opportunities.

  • Mine, aggregate, analyse data and produce relevant reports and dashboards.

  • Ad-hoc tasks as required by management.

In return, we’ll develop your knowledge and expertise in some of the following areas:

  • Commercial analysis and decision-making skills.

  • Sustainable energy solutions for large industrial and commercial customers.

  • Ability to communicate and present complex commercial agreements and data sets.

  • Understanding of wholesale trading markets, non-commodities, forecasting and analytics.

  • Management of commercial projects.

  • Data analysis and management in Excel, Python and SQL server.

  • Regulatory frameworks for both the Gas and Electricity markets.

Job requirements

Ideal candidate:

  • Some understanding of the energy transition and future industry plans.

  • Confident communicator who can engage with a range of stakeholders.

  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office.

  • Some experience building data models in Excel/SQL/Python.

  • Previous experience working within an office-based, analytical focused position.

  • Comfortable working with large data sets.

  • Highly desirable if you have completed a degree closely related to Energy Sciences, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy, etc.
