Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the smooth onboarding of physical and financial deals in the UK and Europe, working closely with the Sales and Trading team.
  • Negotiating contract terms and leading on the structuring of power contracts and PPAs.
  • Review and report on CFP Energy’s portfolio performance covering Power, Gas and Bio assets, including analysis of asset, market, and financial performance and trends.
  • Support the Trading desk with position management and complex trade booking. Identifying and resolving issues or improving our capturing of originated deals within the ETRM.
  • Pricing, structuring and risk management of energy products, focusing on the European Markets.
  • Review processes to advise on optimal PPA setup.

Job requirements

Ideal Candidate:

  • Good commodities knowledge within a front office environment, with a focus on Power and PPAs.
  • 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience with the structuring of power contracts and PPAs.
  • Familiarity with European environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks, as well as with the particularities of Power contractual terms.
  • Strong interest in environmental markets, sustainability, and climate change issues, with a specific focus on European markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends in the European market.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is preferred.
