The Role

• Brook Green Supply (BGS) is an independent B2B energy supplier committed to providing energy supply and Net-Zero solutions to industrial and commercial consumers.

• The Public Sector Bid Analyst is responsible for identifying, analysing, and managing bid opportunities from the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU)

• The Public Sector Bid Analyst works closely with various departments to gather necessary information, manage the bid submission process, and track the outcomes of bids to inform future strategies.


Job Functions/ Responsibilities

• Create, develop and manage comprehensive and compliant commercial material & documentation to support the sale of power, gas and energy solutions to public sector customers..

• Establish & maintain an evolving Public Sector Bid Library, creating a central resource of relevant material, tools, documents and commercial learnings from across the business.

• Ensure robust internal bid processes & governance structures, including compliance with the Memorandum of Authority (MoA).

• Work with the wider team to review incoming tenders and bespoke requests, ensuring requirements are understood and key risks can be identified and mitigated.

• Build strong relationships across internal teams, including Sales, Pricing, Legal, Operations, and Marketing to ensure timely, accurate and high-quality bids and commercial material.

• Assist with the continual development of new innovative solutions that support our diversified portfolio, ensuring a market leading approach and growth of revenue stream.

• Organise and lead bid meetings and regular progress updates with the Public Sector bid team.

• Develop and maintain a bid plan, including a schedule of activities, responsibilities, and deadlines.

• Track and report on the status of submitted bids and provide updates to senior management.

• Analyse feedback from successful and unsuccessful bids to identify areas for improvement.

• Conduct post-bid reviews and capture lessons learned to enhance future bid strategies.

• Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure timely submission of bids.

Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience

· Previous experience working within an Account Management/ Sales focused position;

· Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office, with strength in Excel/ spreadsheets;

· Experience within the energy market would be preferable but is not essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A talent for translating complex products and processes into clear and professional commercial material and documentation.

• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on consistency and accuracy

• Ability to balance commercial demands with best practice and robust process & controls – ensuring positive business outcomes alongside an optimal customer experience.

• Dependable individual who can work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders.

• An innovative mindset with the ability and desire to deliver additional value.

• High level of people skills, confident, credible, persuasive, and a collaborative team-player.

• Adaptable, creative and customer centric.

• Comfortable with taking ownership and proposing change to management & other stakeholders.

• Proven track record of the coordination of the whole bid process.

• Proven experience of bespoke writing for Public Sector bids achieving consistently high scores. Experience working with and developing commercial material – e.g. product documentation, tender responses and contract agreements.

• A proven track record of enhancing business processes, tools and material.

• Demonstrable experience in similar roles with tangible delivery and results.


Desirable experience:

• A detailed understanding of UK energy supply products & processes, especially complex “Flexible” deals, is likely to be an advantage, but other relevant experience will be considered.
