Role overview:
In this role you will be responsible for managing various tax-related tasks, with a focus on tax return preparation (CT and VAT), tax reporting for both statutory and group accounts and ensuring compliance with UK and international tax regulations in areas such as SAO, CBCR, Pillar 2 and transfer pricing.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad experience across the tax spectrum of a UK-headquartered multinational group. Essential functions of the job:
Responsible for the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax computations and returns.
Manage and support local tax advisors with the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns in overseas countries.
Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns in the UK and other EU jurisdictions.
Manage the SAO compliance process and support with group tax risk management.
Work with the finance team to prepare the tax provisions and disclosures for inclusion in the statutory and group financial statements (IFRS).
Manage the cash tax payment calculations for all entities within the group.
Prepare and maintain Transfer Pricing documentation (local and master file) and monitor group-wide transfer pricing compliance.
Work with the finance team to prepare the group’s CBCR and support the preparation of Pillar 2 returns.
Job requirements
Experience required:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in practise or industry, preferably within an in-house tax function within a multinational company.
Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent.
Experience preparing and submitting UK corporate tax and VAT returns.
Familiarity with key international tax and transfer pricing concepts.
Familiarity with tax software and ERP systems is beneficial.
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
Proven ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
